Romans 5:20
God’s law was given so that all people could see how sinful they were. But as people sinned more and more, God’s wonderful grace became more abundant.
Does this verse permit us to go on sinning? Does God give us freedom just to rebel more against Him?
If we try to look at Ezekiel 18:31-32, we will know how eager God is to bring His people back to Him. Let see: "Put all your rebellion behind you, and find yourselves a new heart and a new spirit. For why should you die, O people of Israel? I don’t want you to die, says the Sovereign LORD. Turn back and live!Wow! He encourages us to come, repent, and turn back to Him by giving us so much grace which we don't even deserve to have. Unbelievable. I can't imagine how I can get access to God without GRACE. And that Grace is our Lord Jesus Christ.
So no matter how wicked we are, God still desires for us to turn to Him. He still forgives us and accepts us even though we decided to leave Him just like the prodigal son in Luke 15.
More grace means the DESIRE OF GOD TO GET US BACK INTO HIS CARE, TO RESTORE OUR BROKEN RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM.
Praise be to God for His wonderful grace for us all.
