GROWING

Kaugnay na larawan

When we plant a seed in the soil, do we expect it to stay as it is? No, we don't. We are expectant for it to grow and will someday bear fruit.

No plant will ever grow without undergoing seasons. It may be so cold at night and so hot in the day. Sometimes, the weather is just fine. Sometimes, it rains a lot. But no matter what the condition the plant is in, it never chooses its own right climate for itself and place where it can be nurtured. They come naturally and it is endured by the plant as part of the growing process.

We can see here that God places us in a place where it is best for us to grow and mature. We may undergo hardships and trials in life. But it is all part of the growing process we have to take part in. we can never experience growth weather these changes. God makes us stronger, intelligent, creative, mature, and humble through the seasons.

Therefore, whatever the season is, let us just trust God who cares and loves us so much, (1 Peter 5:7) Let us grow in maturity of knowing Christ in our lives.

Holy Spirit as the Living Proof

Resulta ng larawan para sa holy Spirit
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance,
kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
gentleness and self-control. -Galatians 5:22-23

Christians have the Holy Spirit in them. So, when there's something bad going on, He is a guide that

directs the lost,

a watch tower in the dark,

a counselor for the confused,

a comfort for the mourners,

a peace for the troubled,

strength for the weak,

honor for the humble,

joy for the grieving,

restoration for the devastated,

freedom for the chained,

hope for the depressed,

BURNING JUSTICE in PEOPLE's HEARTS.

 and our ever LIVING and
ETERNAL MOTIVATION and INSPIRATION. (2 Timothy 3:16)

Though Jesus went up to be with God the Father in Heaven, He left with us His Holy Spirit and that proves His words in Hebrews 13:5, "I will never leave you nor forsake you." God is indeed faithful to His words. He is our Living Hope.

TRUE MATURITY

Image result for dependent in God
“Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.  John 15:5

Who wants to be mature? Everyone does I think. No one wants to stay the same forever. We, in nature, want to see some development in ourselves.

Because of that, we tend to work so hard to improve, work out our weaknesses. We make every effort to practice and see the good result of it. We train ourselves to excel in intellectual, physical, emotional, and mental aspect. We want to be independent. We desire increase and gain something to grow.

However, the question is, "Is this the kind of maturity God is looking for?"

Yes, we can become mature in those aspects mentioned above but Jesus made us realize that true maturity is in Him alone. God wants spiritual maturity.

As we get to know Christ and draw closer to Him, we see more of Him and look away of ourselves. The more we know Christ, the lesser we become self-centered.

Therefore, in the world's point-of-view, we are mature when we increase and become independent. But in christianity point-of-view, the more we gain knowledge of Christ, the lesser we become independent of ourselves. That's how we become mature. So maturity is realizing your need of Jesus in your life and yearning to be more dependent of Him. For apart from Him, we can do nothing.

A Rightful Desire

granting me the joy of your presence
and the pleasures of living with you forever."

"Take delight in the LORD,
and he will give you your heart’s desires."

What kind of desire wants from us?

David says that the Lord will give us what we desire. Really? Anything? Will God give me a car if I want to?

If that's how we understand it, then we are getting away from the main point.

The truth is... God wants us to desire for Him. He wants our longing to live with him forever. And as we do that, there's no reason for God not to grant that kind of yearning.

Others say it's boring to be a Christian. No. They are wrong. It says that there's joy in His presence. We can have true joy as we open our hearts to Him.

Therefore, a desire for God is something that is fully qualified to be granted.
