Espiritung Banal

Verse:
Espiritung Banal
Lingapin mo ako
Espiritung Banal
Pagsamo ko'y dinggin mo

Pagkat walang magagawa
kung ako'y hiwalay sa'yo
Ang puso kong ito'y
panghawakan mo

Chorus 1:
Espiritung banal
Kita'y minamahal
Ang buhay kong ito
Ay iyong panghawakan

Espiritung Banal
kita'y minamahal
Pag-ibig mo ang syang Kanlungan

Chorus 2:
Espiritung banal
Kita'y minamahal
Ang puso kong ito
Sa'yo lamang laan

Espiritung Banal
kita'y minamahal
Pag-ibig mo ang syang Kanlungan

I Said “No!”

I am not a slave! I don’t want to let myself to be a slave of sin. Never!

Romans 6:12-13 NLT

12 Do not let sin control the way you live;[a] do not give in to sinful desires. 13 Do not let any part of your body become an instrument of evil to serve sin. Instead, give yourselves completely to God, for you were dead, but now you have new life. So use your whole body as an instrument to do what is right for the glory of God.

Notes:

We, those who accepted Christ Jesus, have the freedom to decide whether we go on the road that leads to death or the otherwise. Before we accepted Jesus as the Lord and Savior, we couldn’t do anything but to follow what the sinful nature demands. But now that we are already in Christ, we got the power to choose to live with God. So, to the believer of Christ Jesus, let us decide and go to God every single moment.

Prayer:

Lord, help me not to let sin control the way I live. Each moment sin creeps in, enable me not to give in to its desires. Also, just as what you want my body to be used for your Glory, give me wisdom to live every day so that no single part of my body be used for evil. Instead, take me and rule over my life. I was dead oh God to sin, but now in You Lord, I have new life. So, may your Spirit empower me to do what is right for the sake of your Holy Name, my God. Amen.

A Reply

Psalm 27:8 - NLT

My heart has heard you say, "Come and talk with me."
And my heart responds, "Lord, I am coming."

Notes:

The Lord always wants to talk with us. He always has something to say. But as He tells us to talk to Him, he doesn't only wants us to utter whatever words we want to, but also wants us to come to Him.

Coming is not that easy. Sometimes, it takes you a little while to think about it. You consider a lot of things like the benefit of doing it or how qualified you are in doing the action. We have to take these things aside and learn to trust God whatever situation you may be in.

However, we may sometimes come recklessly without even thinking whom you are approaching with. Therefore, we shall also come not only with humility but also with respect. Two things we have to remember when coming to God and responding to His invitation: first is HUMILITY, and second is REVERENCE.

In that manner, we give the proper reply to His utterance of Love.

Prayer:

Lord, with great respect to your Holy Name, I humbly ask for your forgiveness in all the things I have done against you. Clean my heart oh God and allow me to hear what you want for me. Let me listen attentively to you as you speak. And let me do what pleases and give you delight. I ask this in the Name of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

John 8 New Living Translation (NLT)
A Woman Caught in Adultery

8 Jesus returned to the Mount of Olives, 2 but early the next morning he was back again at the Temple. A crowd soon gathered, and he sat down and taught them.3 As he was speaking, the teachers of religious law and the Pharisees brought a woman who had been caught in the act of adultery. They put her in front of the crowd.

4 “Teacher,” they said to Jesus, “this woman was caught in the act of adultery.5 The law of Moses says to stone her. What do you say?”

6 They were trying to trap him into saying something they could use against him, but Jesus stooped down and wrote in the dust with his finger. 7 They kept demanding an answer, so he stood up again and said, “All right, but let the one who has never sinned throw the first stone!” 8 Then he stooped down again and wrote in the dust.

9 When the accusers heard this, they slipped away one by one, beginning with the oldest, until only Jesus was left in the middle of the crowd with the woman.10 Then Jesus stood up again and said to the woman, “Where are your accusers? Didn’t even one of them condemn you?”

11 “No, Lord,” she said.

And Jesus said, “Neither do I. Go and sin no more.”

Notes:

Jesus was the only one who was pure and holy in the crowd. Though Jesus had the right to judge the woman, he stayed with her and told her to go and sin no more.

Jesus has the same message today to you and me. He is telling us to go in this life trusting and living in His holiness.

The woman might think of not going just as what Jesus told her. But why would the woman stay there? Would she wait for Jesus to leave her and see the accusers again? If that happened to me, I would go with Jesus. Don't we go with someone whom we trust?

As we decide to follow and go with Jesus, we will experience living in righteousness and holiness.

Prayer:

Lord, please help me to live in your righteousness each day. With my weaknesses, I would never be able to overcome them. But by your love, I can survive every hardship I face every day.
